At ALTInvest 2026, held by the Middle East Investor Network at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai on 16 September 2026, Ahmad Saidali hosted a private boardroom titled “Heritage, Legacy and the Future of Family Capital: How to Structure for Continuity and Long-Term Performance.” Attendance was limited to limited partners, principally family offices.
“Families preserve wealth across generations when governance, liquidity and succession are designed together. We design the system before we select the products.”
The family office view
Ahmad designed the session as a working exercise rather than a presentation. He put a short set of diagnostic questions to the principals, which each answered privately about their own family. Because no answer was shared, each principal could respond candidly.
The discussion then turned to the questions the room had found hardest to answer. These pointed directly to where families felt least certain, and in most cases the gap lay in structure and decision making rather than in investment performance. Identifying that gap is the first step to closing it.
Identifying the gap in a family’s structure is the first step to closing it.
The exercise mirrors how Redwood Heritage begins with every family. We first establish where the structure is strong and where it is exposed. The portfolio is then constructed around governance, liquidity and succession, so that each investment serves an architecture built to outlast any single generation.

Our thanks to the Middle East Investor Network for an exceptional day of conversation.
