Ahmad Saidali will join Roundtable 2, The New LP-GP Compact: Capital, Alignment & Access in Alternative Fixed Income, at the Fixed Income Alternatives Conference in Dubai on 4 November 2026.
He will be joined by Benedetta Balducci, Head of Private Markets Strategy, State Street Investment Management; Sheikh Muhammad Noman, Founder & CEO, Pegasus Capital Investments; and Stergios Voskopoulos, Founder & CEO, AltNovel. Todd Anderson, Head of Content & Programming, DealCatalyst, will moderate.
“We design the system before we select the products. Governance defines the allocation, and every manager has to earn its place within it.”
The family office view
The roundtable will consider what investors now expect from the managers they back, how private credit is broadening beyond direct lending, and the growing role of the Middle East as a partner to global capital. Ahmad will bring the family office perspective: how families choose managers, and why alignment, access and transparency matter as much as returns.
Alignment, access and transparency decide which managers earn a place in a family’s portfolio.
He will set out three tests a family should put to any manager.
Alignment comes first. A manager should invest meaningfully alongside its investors, be rewarded for results, and keep in place the team that built its record.
Access is earned over time. The strongest managers fill their funds quickly. Families that commit early and stay across vintages are first in line for later funds and co-investments.
Transparency must reach the underlying loans. A family needs to see each borrower, its collateral and its protections, and to check for overlapping exposure across all of its managers.
Our thanks to DealCatalyst and DIFC for the invitation.
